I live in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and I teach in Independence, Kansas. I also conduct workshops and do events across the country.

Here are some of my credits…

TEACHING. I’m a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher (Shakespeare & Company, August 2012). I’ve taught the Linklater Progression and Phonetics classes at Oklahoma City University, Appalachian State University, and Emory and Henry College. I’ve also lead voice workshops at WaterTower Theatre, the Last Frontier Theatre Festival, the William Inge Theatre Festival, Texas Educational Theatre Association, and Missouri Thespian State Conference.

COACHING. My vocal coaching credits include Shakespeare Dallas, Nashville Shakespeare Festival, Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park, Barter Theatre, Burning Coal Theatre Co., Bare Theatre, and Shakespeare Santa Cruz.

DIRECTING. I’ve directed for both professional and academic theatre. At Barter Theatre, I directed productions of The Other Side of the Mountain and The Sugar Bean Sisters. My productions at OCU included Love’s Labour’s Lost, The Laramie Project, As It Is In Heaven, and Angels in America Pt.1: Millennium Approaches. I’ve also directed several 24-Hour play festivals and Inge Scenes for the William Inge Theatre Festival.

ACTING. My professional acting credits include two and a half years as a resident actor at Barter Theatre, with additional roles at the William Inge Theatre Festival, City Rep, Blowing Rock Stage Co., Burning Coal Theatre Co., Light Opera Oklahoma, Shakespeare & Co., North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, Three Rivers Shakespeare Festival, and Shakespeare Festival of Dallas.

  • nasality
  • strain
  • voice too high/low/soft/loud
  • monotone

And, most important, you’ll gain confidence in expressing yourself.

ACT BETTER

Learn how to free your your voice for stage performance and for whichever role you’re playing. I can train you for specific dialects or help you to lose yours. We’ll work through the Linklater Progression to unleash your voice and communicate freely and easily.

SING BETTER

As a vocal student, you may not be required to take Vocal Production courses, but there is much to gain through being coached in this area.

  • Gain confidence and find freedom in expressing yourself through your voice.
  • Strengthen and improve the condition of your voice.
  • Train your voice for better singing performances.

WHAT THEY SAY

I like coffee and yoga. And food trucks. Not all at the same time.

When I’m not teaching, you can find me drinking a cup of coffee at Red Cup, doing yoga, or seeking out the very best vegetarian fare that local food trucks have to offer.

I’d love to discuss your voice training goals with you…
